Mucho Burrito opens in Ajax

Harwood Avenue South is the new home to Canada’s fastest-growing burrito chain

Mississauga, ON—Tuesday, May 24, 2011— Mucho Burrito Fresh Mexican Grill, the fastest-growing Mexican chain in Canada, today announced the grand opening of its first Ajax location at 320 Harwood Avenue South on Friday, May 27^th and Saturday, May 28^th.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. The Ajax restaurant will offer half price burritos all day on Friday and Saturday, and 25 guests will win free burritos for the entire year through a random draw.

Canadian Mexican eatery spices up the 5th of May with a nationwide fiesta

MISSISSAUGA, ON— Thursday, April 28, 2011—Mucho Burrito today announced details of its third annual Cinco de Mayo celebration. On May 5th —Cinco de Mayo—the chain of fresh Mexican grill restaurants will offer $5 pequeño (10”) and medio (12”) burritos for the entire day.

The largest and fastest-growing Mexican restaurant chain in Canada, Mucho Burrito is celebrating at all of its restaurants across the country, which includes locations in Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, Ottawa , as well as in surrounding suburban communities.

“Cinco de Mayo is becoming a bigger event in Canada each year— and burritos remain one of the most popular menu items , ” said Alex Rechichi, co-founder and CEO of Mucho Burrito, “This month, we want to bring the spicy flavour and music of Mexico into Mucho Burrito locations to show Canadians what Cinco de Mayo is all about.”

Cinco de Mayo commemorates Mexico’s victory over French forces in the Battle of Puebla in 1862. Today, it is a North American phenomenon that celebrates Mexican culture and cuisine. While well-known in the U.S., the day is becoming increasingly popular in Canada.

In addition to the in-store festivities on May 5th, Mucho Burrito will launch a social media campaign on May 1. The contest will reward one lucky guest who shares their “Mucho Experience” on the Mucho Burrito’s Facebook fan page with a $2,500 trip to Mexico. In order to enter to win the contest, guests must show themselves having a great in-store dining experience.
